I did not start Northern because the world needed another contractor. I started it because the renovation industry has been allowed to run on opacity for so long that homeowners assume confusion is the price of admission.
Hidden fees. Vague quotes. Quiet substitutions. A timeline that grows by a month with a shrug. None of this is inevitable. It is a culture, and cultures can be replaced.
Transparency is not a marketing line. It's a spreadsheet you are willing to share. A timeline you defend. The courage to say 'this idea won't work' before cashing the cheque.
That is the standard I am trying to build the company against. Imperfectly. Daily. In public.
